File under "Things I Must See"

This is apparently what happens to sci fi actors when they lose their tv show gig. They go make a movie about...no, I'm not going to summarize. This is the description on the website:

"Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective faces the ultimate challenge when enormous monsters attack London."

And by "enormous monsters," if the poster is to be believed, they mean dinosaurs.

Yeah, someone else forwarded me that trailer the other day. I just want to know when Captain Jack is going to swoop in to save Watson.

Oh, is Ianto playing Watson? That's rather good casting, actually. And is any movie about Sherlock Holmes fighting dinosaurs really going to be all that much worse than Torchwood?

It pretty much is Torchwood, isn't it? Steampunk Torchwood? I mean, they have a cyberman suit and everything!

Sounds like it to me...

Oh, sorry, didn't realize you only had a link to the poster. Here's the trailer:

You mean, this is AFTER he did that weird movie trailer thing with the monkey that was somehow supposed to relate to turning off your cell phone during the feature presentation?

[identity profile] ivy03.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
...I have no idea what you're referring to. And I'm a little frightened.

You know those little sketches they do before movies in the theaters - "it takes a lot to make a movie, it only takes one call to ruin it" or something to that effect - to get people to turn off their cell phones; Dominic Keating was in one where he played a monkey's agent or something, and was constantly on the phone with the filmmakers making ridiculous demands on behalf of a chimp. I'm SURE you've seen it - in fact, I'm pretty sure we were in a theater together one time when you saw it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?!

Oh, Dominic Keating. Cause I thought you were talking about Gareth David-Lloyd. I was talking about Gareth David-Lloyd.

On one hand, you misspelled "dinosaurs". On the other, I feel like the "dinasaur" spelling is more appropriate for this particular instance.

(Also, why am I always so paranoid about misspelling "misspelled"? It looks wrong every time, but you'd think I'd be used to that by now.)

This is what happens when I post while trying to rush to work...
