a. Post a list of 15 fandoms.
b. Have your friends list guess your favourite character from each one.
c. When guessed, bold the line, include the character name, and write a sentence about why you like that character.
1 - Star Wars (original trilogy)
2 - seaQuest DSV
3 - Xena
Joxer
The character I like in spite of the character. Joxer is one of the most annoying, grating characters ever created, but I will still watch the show just to watch Ted Raimi. I love Ted Raimi. Even more than Bruce Campbell, sometimes (sacrilege!).
4 - Firefly
5 - ER
6 - Buffy
Xander
I actually got into the Buffy fandom through the books, before watching the show (wierd I know!). Without even knowing what any of them looked like, Xander was my immediate favorite. For being the totally normal everyman in this collection of superpowered beings. He's the humanity of the show. And he's damn funny.
7 - Angel
Wesley
From an unpromising start in Buffy, Wesley has turned into the most complicated, fascinating and dynamic character on Angel. It doesn't hurt that he's one of the best actors. Rewatching seasons 1 and 2 you can clearly see his character progression. The attributes that would eventually turn him dark are always there, even in the buffoon. And I love him for that.
8 - Andromeda
Harper
I can't not love a wise cracking guy with a seriously vulnerable streak. And when you get him cornered, he gets more wise-ass. As one of the show's writers said, Harper is like tabasco sauce. You put just a little of him on a scene to spice things up.
9 - Star Trek: TNG
Data
Data is the mirror character, teaching us about the nature of humanity. Brent Spiner is brilliant as both Data and Lore (and I point to the episode "Masks" for the breadth of his talent) and has always been the most entertaining to watch.
10 - X-Men movieverse
Logan
Hugh.
Jackman.
That's it.
11 - Enterprise
12 - Smallville
Lex
Watching a character's path to evil can be fascinating, if handled right. And Michael Rosenbaum played the struggle within Lex heartbreakingly well from the first episode. It's so clear to see how he can have good intentions yet fall into evil deeds, how he tries to do the right but doesn't know how. The direction of the character has flagged coming into this season, but MR is the only reason I kept watching the show after the pilot and the only reason I still watch it.
13 - Alias
14 - Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers
15 - Twin Peaks
Coop
Cooper makes this whole series worth watching. Such an attractive, intelligent, cheerful, seriously fucked up man. Between the sending tapes to the possibly fictional secretary Diane, practicing fly-fishing in his room in his boxers, picking suspects by throwing rocks at a glass bottle and being able to transition smoothly between waxing poetic about Douglas firs and prying slips of paper out from under a girl's fingernail, we have a winner. Even if his soul is destroyed in the end.
Some of those are complete no brainers. But I'm not putting Batman:TAS on there because that would be too easy.
ETA: OK, so I've changed a few of them since I first posted, but I bet nobody noticed.

2 - wrong show! He was on Lois and Clark!
3 - actually, it was Mulder, but I changed it to a more esoteric show since that choice is boring.
4 - nope (though it was hard to choose)

9 - I also think of Reading Rainbow when I see him
10 - duh
14 - Amy Jo Johnson?? Hell no! Even if she is the only one with a career.

2 - Actually, I didn't dig him so much.
3 - Nope, despite those pecs
4 - *gasp* We must educate you! I'd lend you my DVDs but I need them to educate Chuck
5 - Carter you mean? Nope, and I don't think it counts when you don't know the name.
6 - No and no.
7 - No. He's the son of a weatherman and can't act terribly well.
8 - that's a shame
9 - No. Sigh.
13 - You're not missing much.
14 - You of all people know who my favorite is. And it's not Tommy.
15 - Vintage 90's soap, with David Duchovny in drag (no, not my favorite character). Everything goes back to Twin Peaks.

Actually, I read your list wrong the first time. C3P0 for Star Wars? I really have no idea, but I thought that said ST:TOS, and even though I should be able to name somebody from that, I can't. Good thing it's not actually on your list, heh.

1 - no
2 - no
3 - Bingo! You know me so well!
4 - That would be Mal, and no. He was terrifying as the priest!
5 - Cute, but no.
6, 7 - you and
9 - HA!
11 - Uh uh.
12 - Too old for my taste
13 - I don't know who that is. But it ain't a chick I like, so I'll say no. Wait - I just looked at my list and not a single one of my favorites is female. Damn. There must be a chick on a show I like.
14 - I'm crazy for not liking Tommy best, I know, but my heart belongs to another.
15 - Absolutely. Watch me rave as he makes a guest spot on SVU.

And I was wrong about Picard. . . Riker?
Ooh, but I see I was right about Harper! (I actually didn't see on your post that you'd entered him in.)

7 - Fill in the blank: dark _____
8 - bingbingbing!
9 - I like 'em smarter
12 - Finally! This one was such a no-brainer.
I should have gotten to this earlier...
On Angel: Wesley. Duh.
Buffy is harder, because I haven't watched a great deal of it with you. I'm going to say Xander, with a rider on Oz. I know it wasn't Riley, and for that matter, I know you never shared my love of Tara. And nobody liked Dawn.
Same problem with Star Trek: TNG and Enterprise, really. But venturing guesses, I'll say Data and "Trip" Tucker.
Re: I should have gotten to this earlier...
Right, right (Xander), right and very close. Trip comes in second. I think you win for getting the most right.
