Yes, that one is indeed a classic.

If you look at the amazon page for the above book, you'll see that the product description is something along the lines of: God is love. Love is enemas. God is enemas.

And the author's previous title is "Mrs. Smith: The boarding school enemas."

You know, it's not just that this guy clearly has an enema kink. It's that he tries to sell it as universal. No, not just universal. Wholesome.

The name alone had me laughing, sweet Jesus, I never fail to be amazed

The world is so full of a number of things... And all of them are on the intarnets.

...and then there are the comments on Amazon.

"It is non pornographic, and a good Christmas present for a loved one, be they a maiden aunt, grandmother, rabbi, preist or minister. "

Do you think this is actually the author? And maybe s/he can't spell "priest"?

Someone actually published this?

My mind is full of questions, and I don't want any of the answers.

One of the comments says that it was a vanity press, so not published, just printed.

There is a merciful God.

Two words: Vanity press.

So the comment really is from the author, then, most likely.

Because I'm sure my maiden aunt and my priest desperately want a book about a husband lovingly giving his wife enemas and spankings.

If your maiden aunt wants such things, I never ever want to know that.

Well, my maiden aunt is a lesbian, so I think it's safe to say this book? Not her cup of tea.

[identity profile] jethrien.livejournal.com 2008-12-05 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Given that my maiden aunt is actually my grandmother's sister...*shudder*

I think the part that horrified me most was the fact that the author seems to think she's channeling someone's real pain. Because there's no surer way to let them know you care about their debilitating bowel problems than to write a trash-tacular book about it and spread it around.

[identity profile] ivy03.livejournal.com 2008-12-05 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, the author's a man.
