I try to keep this lj politics free, but I have to share this. Cause it's Matt Damon. Talking about Palin, true, but it's Matt Damon so that makes it...um...fannish? Uh...

Thanks so much for sharing this!! I agree with you about liking the way he thinks and the way he expresses these concerns about her.

I'll be spreading it on my LJ too.

When he mentioned the wacky Disney comedy, I was like oh my god--you're right. And I'm sure there are voters who think that is a good thing. *shudder*

Yes, I saw this on huffingtonpost, and it was brilliant. There was actually a BBC production that was sort of like what Damon describes - a house-wifey woman somehow miraculously becomes the British Prime Minister - can't remember what it was called, though it was pretty recent. It is inimitably scary that people would think that a good thing, I agree.

Well, that's kind of the premise of "Dave." First time I saw it, thought it was delightful. Watched it again and the naivety of the politics made me want to pull my hair out.

I guess it points out the hypocrisy of the American Dream: any kid can grow up to be president. Except I really really don't want just anyone as president.
