For shits and giggles, I just watched a few minutes of the commentary for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, with the writers, Morgan Freeman, and Christian Slater. This is about what it's like:
Writer: And Morgan helped us pick the name, so it was very special. Morgan, you remember what it meant?
Morgan: [long pause] I forget.
Writer: What did you think, Morgan, when you first got the script?
Morgan: [long pause] You know, it was a long time ago, and you're putting me on the spot.
Does not sound like this is a role he remembers fondly. Or at all.
