Why I was late to work today

Where to begin...

I dreamt that I went to work. Except that I was working in a giant tower on Duke campus, and trying to drag a grocery cart up the stairs, and tripping over it, and when I got to work, someone had taken my chair and computer.

Then I was at a Britney Spears concert that was interrupted when Britney's bijon frise ran on stage covered in succotash.

Then I was with Britney and Cher and Chelsea Clinton and we were all dressed in ball gowns. We entered a ballroom and Alan Alda and a bunch of other people put Mardi Gras beads around our necks then tried to knock us over with giant exercise balls. It was a "ball." Get it?

At this point I woke up and realised I'd overslept by half an hour.

....okay, you win the weird dream pissing contest no one was holding. Hands down, though, if that makes you feel better. What a cast of characters to have waltzing through your brain. Been watching a bit too much of VH1's "I love the 90s" have we?

Actually, I never watch VH1. And you know me. If given a choice between reading Entertainment Weekly or a horrific crossover slash fic where Anakin and Luke make out, I pick the fic every time. I have no idea why it was pop culture icon night in my brain.

Also, I'm proud to say I had to look up the spelling of Britney's name. And you have to admit, if you were dreaming that, wouldn't you stay asleep just to see what would happen?
