1. Total Number of films that I own:
I counted 65 VHS and DVD - I'm going to say somewhere around 75 including the ones on my computer.

2. Last Film I bought:
It was three simultaneously: Spider-Man 2, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and The Manchurian Candidate (2004). Last year's summer blockbusters on sale at Blockbuster.

3. Last film I watched:
Plan 9 from Outer Space. For the first time, actually. But I had to. I'm writing an article on that. Previously, Bubba Ho-tep, a film that defies all attempts at categorization or analysis.

4. Five Films I watch a lot or mean a lot to me
a) Star Wars - the original trilogy. Was there ever any doubt.
b) Arsenic and Old Lace - a film that will be forever linked to sick days home from school in my mind and possibly the funniest Cary Grant film ever made.
c) Labyrinth - another childhood film I've seen far too often, and my mother's favorite movie.
d) Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street - the RKO released tape of the Broadway show. I have never spent more money on a film than I did on this. After spending an entire day fanagling a way of borrowing it from a library where I could not get a card, I watched it two or three times a night for the entire week until I had to return it, often enough that I can play it almost shot for shot in my mind. I then spent over a hundred dollars to buy a copy of the out-of-print tape on eBay. Of course now it's readily available on DVD for less than $20. *kicks self*
e) X-Men - the first film I paid to see twice in a theatre. No, wait, that would actually be Phantom Menace. Well, X-Men is the first film I paid to see twice because I enjoyed it.
