I forgot about that too! See, Dean does believe. I just think he's thrown for a loop by Sam's faith and is reacting badly.

I also love that Dean is so surprised by finding out that Sam prays -- it's dotfic's favorite theory. They know each other better than anyone else in the world, but they don't know everything. They've got blindspots about each other in the way that siblings always do.
