I hadn't seen that first one!
People are getting a little wacky with the Excel, maybe? There's only so many times one can have the "so... incest, yea or nay?" conversation, after all.

So basically what you're saying is that this fandom knows it's on shaky ground and therefore tries to back up the slash pairing through statistics.

I don't think all the statistics are slash-related? I think it's more that people want an excuse to watch the episodes a lot.
Most fandoms don't try this hard, but I'll take pie charts over leather pants or tinhattery any day.
