I *heart* my fandom

Any fandom that can produce these obviously deserves my continued devotion:

-Princess Ancienta. Illustration by crysothemis to accompany astolat's story Under the Sea. Eyeshadow is love.

-Beanie McKay! As far as I can tell, the beaniefic (and oh my god – there's a category of fic called "beaniefic") started with Inanimate by mmmchelle and was perpetuated by an explosion of beanielantis illustrations by cynicatlantis which lead to further beanie fic: Candygram by aka_arduinna. (ETA: Or look at the fully illustrated Candygram. Arduinna's story and cynicatlantis's art, all in one place!) (Anybody correct me if I've got the history wrong, cause heck, I'm fascinated by the progression of beanie Atlanteans.) I cannot squee enough about these. I mean, come on. It's the cast of Stargate: Atlantis. As beanie babies. Some merchandisers need to get on that. And there are icons, too.
