Because
darkling1 asked:
1. Total number of books owned?
Way too many. I’ve got three bookshelves in my apartment and stacks of books on the floor. In my parents’ house I have another four bookshelves and at least 6 possibly as many as 10 boxes of books. I’d put a conservative estimate at 600, but I probably have more than a thousand. This is aided by the fact that I never get rid of books once I’ve read them and am now in a profession where I get sent a lot of books for free.
2. The last book I bought?
Nightmare of Ecstasy: The Art and Life of Edward D. Wood, Jr. for Uncle John’s and Torture: A Collection for my own twisted curiosity.
3. The last book I read?
The Last of the Jedi: The Desperate Mission. See previous posts. Before that the last book I truly read cover to cover was Serenity, the book of essays on Firefly. Yesterday I reread most of If Chins Could Kill and I’m currently reading The Unseen Force: The Films of Sam Raimi.
4. Five books that mean a lot to me?
(These are books that were influential in my life, as opposed to my favorite books.)
The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas
Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn
The Prince of Foxes by Samuel Shellabarger
The Origins of Totalitarianism by Hannah Arendt
My Dinner with Andre by Andre Gregory and Wallace Shawn
5. Tag 5 people and have them fill this out in their ljs.
