...wouldn't that be the movie? Where Ska'ara and the other Abydonians identify Daniel by clucking like a chicken?

There are a series of eps where Daniel figures out the language and culture of the Unas. I really like those eps, even if Unas language seems to have about a ten word vocabulary.

There's even an episode where Jack asks Daniel what "Jaffa Kree" means and Daniel admits that it's a sort of all purpose thing, meaning anything from "listen" to "find the off-worlders hiding behind those pillars and kill all of them except for the gray-haired one who you should bring to me."
