Just got back from PotC. And as I watched it, I could here the sound of hundreds of fangirls running to their computers to write the great decline and fall of Commodore Norrington fic.
I went over to the sparrington board and was surprised to find that people are upset about Norrington in this movie! I mean, what do they want? He's cunning, he's ruthless, he's bitter, he's debauched: the film-makers are practically daring us to write the story of how he lost his commision. Why are the sparrington fans upset? I do not understand the fannish mind.
